Trip to Costa Rica
Day 6 - Tuesday, January 11, 2022 - Travel to Manuel Antonio
Today we are off to Manuel Antonio and Shana by the Beach Hotel. We are losing part of our group who will be going back to San Jose. We drove about 1 1/2 hours and then those of us going on to Manuel Antonio transferred to a smaller bus. We then drove on to Jaco beach where we had time for lunch and some exploring. We weren't really hungry so we only had an ice cream and instead opted to take a walk along the beach. The views that we've had in Costa Rica have been awesome. Everything is so green and lush. The weather has been good also. It was a bit cooler in Monteverde, in the mountains, but it is warm or should I say hot and humid elsewhere. I'm not used to that or the hills but I'm out of travel shape so I have a goal for when I get back home. Arrived at our hotel and again they had a welcome drink for us. I have to say that all of our hotels have been very nice- Clean and spacious with nice amenities. The hotel had a path to take down to the Biesanz Beach. Again a nice but steep path that led down to a very private little beach. After that we freshened up and then walked up the very steep hill to dine at Isimo the restaurant next to our hotel. We had a delicious meal and then walked back down to the hotel for dessert. Another fine day!
